CageOne at it again!

We’ve been a fan of Bristol based artist CageOne for some time now. We first came across his work when he bought some Moog Royale threads back when we first started out. He quickly became one of our earliest members of Royalety! His work never disappoints, his graphic style is a unique mix of colour, form and texture. Heavily influenced by a rich heritage immersed in European Graffiti Writing in the 80′s, his style now takes on a much more graphic approach which takes on board a strong influence from decay.

Behind Closed Doors

Having just released the first ever Moog Royale SnapBacks and vest tops we’ve got another Moog first coming up real soon! We’re not a big brand, in fact it’s pretty much a one man band, so it’s always difficult to produce a varied line of products, not having the budgets of the big boys, but with the last drop and this forthcoming one we are making good progress. With all these firsts from Moog I thought it’d be cool to let you see behind closed doors and give you a little sneak peek of what we’re working on right now.

With the aim of always trying to push Moog forward, I’m continuously looking to produce new things. This time I’ve been working on two custom pocket tees! You’ll have probably seen the Moog Royale crown pattern floating around on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter over the past few weeks, well now you know what it was created for! Unlike the big boys producing in bulk, I produce in small numbers so a lot of the time I end up being restricted with what I can do. So for these pocket tees the only option was to create them from scratch ourselves!

First off was the creation of the repeat pattern and to produce a screen to print from.

Once I’d printed all the fabric it was time to cut the pockets out from my template and fold in and iron all the edges to create the finished pocket size.

Finally came the pinning and sewing.

A few long days later it was all done! Now just need to sew the brand tabs on and individually number each, then the two colourways will be available on the website! I hope you like them…

What a weekend!

I’ve still not recovered! It all started on Sunday at 11.30 with a 5 hour drive to Liverpool to make it in time for a long, issue filled, film shoot with Drake before he went on stage at the Echo Arena, then straight back into the car at 3 in the morning for a quick drive to Manchester to be ready for another shoot on Monday morning followed by a manic race across to Preston for the last of 3 shoots before the subject had to leave at 4pm!

Having somehow managed to pull it all off we got back into the car for a long 4 hour drive home!
