We were stoked back in November to have Royalety rider Calum Paton grace the news pages of The Reason Mags website. Since then we’ve featured in the actual mag not once but twice!! Double stoked!! Not only that but Royalety rider Will Radula-Scott also made an appearance in the mags Nike Chosen series UK write up!

There are so many little rippers out there in UK domes at the moment it’s insane and the standard of riding is getting higher everytime we see them shred. We have seen one little dude really get cracking this winter from riding rails at his local, Hemel Hempsted, to tearing up the mountains. He goes by the name Jake Binnee and he’s been showing Europe what a UK dome shredder can really do. He’s been training with none other than Royalety rider and snowboard coach Lewis Sonvico over in Portes du Soleil where Lewis is based for the winter. Keep an eye out for a company called SuperRad, set up by Lewis and James Sweet, two guys who love the shred and keen to coach all different kinds of people at all different levels. They focus on technical riding which then translates into freestlye, powder, or whatever you want to ride. The aim is to get riders to shred properly rather than drifting around, not in control of their board and wondering why they just ended up eating snow.

Jake hasn’t spent much time in the mountains before this winter but this year, he’s going for it. His first ever European comp was the Burton Park Jam Tour‘s first leg in Avoriaz. Jake, acompanied by Mr Binnee as he is only 11 years old, flew out late from London the night before after finishing school and his homework. He rocked up and killed it coming 2nd in his age group, under 14.

Jake was back out in Avoriaz for the Protest French Fries Rookie Fest, a 3 star TTR event. The first day of the comp was cancelled because of cold temperatures and high winds, causing bullet proof landings and icy run-ins, no fun for anyone. The majority of competitors spent the day practicing in the lower, more sheltered Chapelle park. Not Jake. Jake went off for the day with Lewis to go hit up some secret hidden spots where the powder was still fresh and deep. Who needs to ride park when theres still powder around. Only to turn up the next day and walk away with 4th in his age group (under 14′s) and 10th overall. Banging result!

If you see this little dude around give him a high five and a nudge. We will keep you posted on the progression of SuperRad, everything is being organised as this is being typed, so if you want to learn how to ride your board properly, its something you dont want to miss out on. Hands down.

Another 2 New Moog Royale Pieces Released!!

Starting off 2012 like we mean to go on, with 2 new Moog Royale releases.

The first being our black waffle knit beanie with a custom hand screened Moog Royale patch sewn on. We’re super stoked about this beanie as it’s something a little new for us but still keeps the flavour of the brand with the hand screened patch, rather than us just sewing on a brand tab!

The second is a brand new tee design printed in gold on a denim blue tee, limited to 100 pieces as usual. Changing things up again, the print has a slightly distressed feel to it.
